Peach vanilla jam

For the past two years, the Lunar New Year period always bring about a good bounty of fresh fruits. My family visits the wholesale vegetables and fruits market a few days before the Lunar New Year festivities start, to purchase the requisite mandarin oranges, and a few other fruits that are in season. Cartons of peaches (about 20 peaches in all!), big ripe cherries, strawberries and other various fruits. I would just like to say that the peaches during this period always smell and taste so good. Biting into a ripe peach, plenty of sticky peach juice dribbling down your chin, and the heady peachy aroma that envelops you - I reckon that's as good as heaven can be.

Baked applesauce and healthy muffins

I've made applesauce a few times already. Baked applesauce to be exact. The flavour of it was really delicious and I find myself gravitating towards this recipe always, whenever I require the use of applesauce. I realise I've never actually posted the recipe prior, so I decided to make it again recently.

Sweet cherry preserves

Cherries were in season, and I had plans to make good use of them.

Lemon curd and lemon cranberry oatmeal scones

The egg yolks were accumulating. Day after day, three new sunshine yellow orbs will make their appearance in the yolks container in the refrigerator. The bright coloured rounds beckoned to me. I hate the thought of seeing them go to waste. Instead of the usual ice creams that the Sister has been churning out, my mind was on a luscious creamy lemon curd.
