Seoul 2013: Cafe 커피마시는 고양이 (Cafe Drinking Coffee Cat)

Samcheongdong is a quaint neighbourhood filled to the brim with indie cafes. It is situated near Insadong and Bukchon Hanok Village, so if you're planning a trip to Seoul, it's good to note that you can visit these three spots in a day (if you want to that is) as they are all accessible via the same train station (Anguk Station).

Cafe 커피마시는 고양이 (Cafe Drinking Coffee Cat )

This cafe is too pretty not to deserve a separate post of itself. I'll be posting a Samcheongdong post soon, with the other cafes I visited there, but first of all, consider this a sneak preview.

It's a two story cafe, with a sorta attic-like feel to the second story. The stairs up were kinda steep, so you really gotta be careful and watch out while walking up or down. That aside, can I start coo-ing over how gorgeous the place was done up? Wooden furniture and white washed walls. My favourites.

The name of the cafe is named as Cafe Drinking Coffee Cat, but don't be fooled that it is a cat cafe. Nope, no real cats here. But there were certainly tons of cat-related figurines, and stuff littered around the cafe. Not to mention, the barista drew kitty latte art for two out of three of our drinks.

The odd one out. Mr Bear.

Waffles

The waffles were crisp and light and we all enjoyed it tremendously. The drinks were alright, nothing too special, but not bad either. It was a really cosy and lovely spot to chill with girlfriends. The place was quite packed when we were there. We were given the option of sitting upstairs or downstairs, we had gone up initially, but decided to shift our seats downstairs cos the upper level seemed a lil stuffy that day.

It's a nice spot and I definitely recommend this place (if not for the cute factor) if you're visiting Seoul.
