I'm so proud of myself. I completed the 10k Shape Run 2009. (:
Actually, I didn't sign up for the race, I was helping my sis's friend to run. It's my first time participating in a marathon, and most of the time, when I jog by myself, it's around 4-5k only. I've never actually pushed myself so I have no idea what my limit is. All I can say is, it was tiring. But achievable. And I must say that it's a real nice feeling when I crossed the finishing line.
It's a pity I didn't get the Shape Run's marathon tee though. It was sponsored by Nike, and is a shocking pink shade (although in the early morning, I was saying that it was like a bimbo fest, when I arrived at Marina and there were scores of women all decked out in the marathon's tee. snigger.), and I felt a bit lonely that I was in my black fbt running shirt. tsk. At least I wasn't the only person not in pink, for there were a
minority who were like me, not in bimbo pink (pardon me for I'm just jealous haha).
But on the other hand, after the race, I managed to grab hold of the Nike Shape Run Nike finisher bracelet, which were handed out by young (hot? some.) men in vests. My sister overheard some person asking one how much was he paid. !! Snigger.
Shape Run 2010, you and me, we have a date. I'll be training hard.
