Chilling.

And life so far has been great.

I'm spending my time baking, chilling, watching videos, going out, (er packing? snorts.) and basically just enjoying life! What a pity I'm heading back in less than a week's time and I havn't done alot yet. Woo Aa just finished her exams yesterday, Jos today, so we're gonna be having Korean BBQ (my first this sem, and last! :( Aww.) at my place. Not to mention I'm making apple tarts (in the oven now as I'm speaking, I do hope they turn out okay cos it's my first time making it).

I'm currently in love with Korean indie music, mostly downloaded from Dramabeans. Been following this great site since...forever? haha. I'm watching the new Korean drama Triple now, and it totally reminds me of Coffee Prince. The great music, backdrop settings and all. Fans of Coffee Prince will surely like this quirky little show. ;)

I've just found this lovely photographer website: Philip Newton photography. Awesome pictures. Do drop by for a glance if you've the time. I'm using one of his picture (the girl with the floral umbrella) as my desktop wallpaper cos it's simply gorgeous. (:

So far, I've kept to my promise of baking as much as possible lately (even going as far as to bake almost daily for a period of three days a few days back) ha! I'll be posting pictures soon....as long as I have the mood the photoshop them first. snigger. But first up, here are some teasers from during the assignments period, when I was preparing some desserts for my folio:

End of Uni life

I'm officially over uni. I handed in my last assignments for uni on Tuesday and have basically been a free bird since then. Freedom! It marks the end of the education pathway for me and I felt a slight moment of bereavement, don't ask me why. I just did. It seems to me that I'm out on my own in the world, with no set course and my place is at the junction of an intersection of pathways, which may lead me to different places. It's a pretty confusing period for me and don't mind me if I mention that I'm feeling a little morose.

Anyway, not that I'm done with uni, I have all the time in the world to relax, play and PACK. Omg. I'm so not looking forward to that bit. I've changed my flight date again, for those who have no idea, from 22nd Jun to 25th Jun. Cos Jos is finishing her exams on the 19th, and we're planning to explore QLD a little bit before I head back. We're probably planning to visit some of the nearby islands, shop around, eat, have high tea, Korean BBQ at my place and more. I guess I'll really miss this cousin of mine as I feel that we've really bonded through the proximity we share in Brisbane. Awww.

Things I gotta do before I head back:
- bake more, to finish up my baking ingredients
- pack my massive amounts of clothes, bags, shoes, misc stuff that seem to have accumulated tons since I came
- meet up with friends
- explore Brisbane
- take lots of pictures
- plan Jos/my short holiday together (Fraser? Moreton? WHERE??)
- clean up my room
- give/throw away stuff that I have no use for
- think of my future

Anyway, now that I have the time, I cant start working on my seriously backlog pictures of bentos and baking and what nots. (: Bentos! Will tackle my baking pictures next. (:

This is one of my favourite salads to have. Even now in winter, when I'm trying to have salads (it's hard you know cos I'll always be craving for hot Korean soup and rice ha!), I'll make this. So simple, yet divine. Sweet baby greens, topped with a Royal Gala apple, sprinkle mixed roasted nuts, and drizzle some mustard vinaigrette. Gorgeous. (:

Another new try, I like! I'm going to make this for you when I go back k Sis cos you know, it's you love - mushrooms. (:
