As if my situation is not bad enough with the lack of Internet (still!), the electricity for the house went off today. At first I thought it was just an electricity trip, and just flicking the power switch will restore the power. But then, I realised after a while, it was not just our house, it was our whole building. And then cos I left the house to go UQ to do work with Jos, at the bus stop, I saw some workmen fixing some cables opposite the road. It seemed like the power shortage was affecting the neighbourhood??? Wow. Serious case. Unfortunate us.
Anyway, another funny library incident (what's up with libraries and me?) happened today while we were leaving the library at the end of the day. Jos was saying "I Love You" in Korean to me, and I wanted to joke back saying in Korean that "I don't love you" but I didn't know how to say the word "not" for Korean so my sentence was half Eng/Korean. As Jos's Korean group mate was there too, I asked her how to say "I don't love you" in Korean while walking down the stairs. There were two guys walking up, and I heard one of them said to the other something in Korean...which sounded suspiciously like an answer to my question since the sentence contained the word "love". OMG. Major embarrassing moment. I practically covered my face and ran down the remaining stairs. Snigger.
