For once, it's going to be a long long entry. If you are short of time and wanted to just keep touch of what I had done in my time, just take note of the highlighted words, they make extremely good short notes. snigger. If you have plenty of time to spare, why not just scroll down and read what took me efforts to pen down? (:
Well, the exams last week on Wed and Thur were finally O-V-E-R. The IMC MCQs were pretty okay I reckon I'm not too sure about the short essay part, and the PR one was damn hard (75 mcq in 75min leh how to do?!?!? I kept looking furtively at the clock say, every 5min or so?!?! lol. yes I know I had already rant to whoever was available, but let me reiterate just in case there some readers here do not get what I'm griping about.)
After the PR exam was over on Thur, Louisa, Silvia and me went to Three Monkeys to chill. Yummy food, decent conversation, it was a pretty nice night out.
I baked Cheesecake pops on Friday! And brownies. It's been soooooooo long since I baked. I love surfing food blogs, so when I saw there's this group of people whom are called Daring Bakers who all make something every month and blog about it, they made Cheesecake pops last month so I was drooling at every of those blogs I went to. haha. I made it and it tasted pretty darn good if I may say so. Haha. (Still have a couple of those buggers in my freezer) Of cos, I didn't inhale all of those stuff I baked. With the current lack of exercise, if I consume all the above I'll be a whale seriously. I shared them among friends of cos. As usual. haha.
That Friday night, I met up with Mel and her friend at Hawken for dinner at a Japanese place, Edamame. I also managed to obtain Photoshop CS2 from her! The lovely lass is my saviour. haha. In return, brownies were given! haha. (: Food and company was marvelous. I had my first try at Japanese sake and I didn't like it. I don't know if the fact that it was warm sake we had? But it tasted really horrible. Mel's choya was much nicer to drink! lol.
Went to the Greek Paniyiri festival on Sunday with Therese and Ludwig. It was a pleasant experience. I think our main activity there was - food (lunch). haha. Food was pretty yummy, my first experience at eating Greek food.
Yesterday, there was a minor (ok, maybe not minor) drama. Both IMC and PR lecturers chose yesterday to update the emails that our exams results are posted online on the shared intranet website. I checked the IMC one first, cos the lecturer sent the email earlier than PR. AND. To my utmost horror, it said I got 16/30 for my MCQ grade. I was damn shocked. Alot of the questions were from the online textbook website, and they were really easy too overall. How can it be?!?!? I was damn sad and moped around moaning the fact to everyone who was around me. Sorry guys about my whines people. I ended up sending an email to the lecturer asking if I could check my paper cos I explain I studied alot and I can't believe I got such a grade etc etc.
Then I went to check my PR exam. 55/75. It was not fantabulously great, but neither is it that bad. The point is. How could it be possible my PR grade is better than my IMC??? I spent like so much time mugging for the IMC rather than PR. So I was pretty satisfied with PR, but as for IMC... $%$@^%&#
This morning, lecturer emailed me back say sure, she'll go through paper with me next week if I wanted to. Then few hours later, Therese called to say lecturer had just posted new mail saying she has posted the grades up wrongly and ask us to recheck our grades again. So I checked my mail...and my new grade is 26/30! -extremely mollified- (:
So the big hooha.....................over nothing big. But hey, just wanted to thank those who heard me gripe about it. Mei Li, Sookee, Fiona, Roy, Cheryl, Wenli omg come to think of it, I grumbled to quite a no. of people no? -embarrassed-
But, yesterday, since I was so depressed (over nothing come to think of it now) I went jogging! Yay. After a long hiatus (due to my rash on my legs) the exercise was great man. Lovely weather to jog at 430pm (the sky turns dark by 6pm nowadays as the weather turns chilly).
And my sister called me late midnight cos she was in Germany and due to the time difference, she was shopping, I presume, in the noon? So then, she asked me if I wanted Birks. DOH. Of cos yes! Sister loves me. I love Sister. hehe. In the end, I decided on getting Papillio Madrid Floral Garden Brown. Can't wait to see my new footwear when I'm back heh.
YES. I just killed a fly that was buzzing around me irritating the shit out of me for like the whole day. I'm sorry for sounding er, I don't know what, twisted perhaps? But it kept landing on my laptop, mobile phone and my hand! I showered and is thus not smelling like garbage, so for it to keep touching me, I wanted to strangle it. grr.
Back to whatever I was talking about...
And yeah, today, I went shopping! I have yet to shop for five WHOLE weeks, which technically means a month and a week, thus, I'm very proud of myself. (: After class, I took a bus down to Indooroopilly and shopped a while! I got myself a uber nice floral skirt from Mombasa, a cheap scarf from Supre and an oriental pendant chain from Sportsgirl's sale. I am one happy girl. Overall, today has been such a great day (in contrast to yesterday that is).
As for now, I'm off to do some serious assignment work. All that's seperating me and my flight home in two weeks are four assignments (two of which are group assignments). Wish me luck!
(I apologize for the lack of pictures once more. I'm too busy to upload them all cos there are quite a few series of them...)
